Do's and Dont's
When in Boston there are some things you should and shouldn't do.
If you must do the basic tourist things, go for it, like visit the top of the hub, walk the freedom trail and the Museum of FIne Arts. But these just aren't that exciting I must warn you.
The most important things are the small town luxuries that the real Bostonian hold dear to our hearts.
First things first learn the towns. Know the difference between and real Bostonian and that guy that grew up in the "greater Boston area" and insists he knows what he is talking about. Don't listen to him, he is wrong.
Come to Southie and walk Castle Island, but do not forget to go to Sullys and stop taking pictures of planes, it's just a plane , get over it.
Go to Modern Pastry in the north end or Cafe Victoria, do not waste your time in the line of Mike's Pastry, no matter how famous.
Get your butt to Fenway park and see a game, scream as loud as you can even if you aren't really sure what is happening and get a hot dog.
For god sake keep your mouth shut about the surrounding peoples accents. They just arent that exciting and it is so unnecessary to call it out, you are in Boston, people are going to have Boston accents. If you think the way we talk is odd, go home you will feel more comfortable there I promise.
Dont call it bean-town, you sound dumb
Dont run around with a back pack like an idiot, there will be another bus. for some reason out of towners always seem to be running around with large backpacks.
Dont jump out of your skull when you hear a bomb at sunset, its just the townies relax its tradition.
If you are "so excited to see snow" pick up a shovel
if you move my safe saver in the winter i will key your car. I am not a bad person this is just where your actions have gotten you

I love this. I really enjoyed the part about running for the bus, I have never because, like you said, there is always another, and honestly there are more than enough ways to get to that one place if you are really in a hurry. I live in southie and still havent tried Sullys
